Fab Meets Technology: Google To Launch New Fashion Search Site
In Fashion NewsOkay, I am a fashion addict and I love a great find, but is it just me or is there like 10,000 fashion search engines now? ShopStyle has to be one of the larger sites, but I dabble quite with a few when searching for pieces to blog about and add to my wardrobe. The idea isn't so unique anymore, but that doesn't mean that internet heavyweight Google doesn't want a piece of the action. And as you should know, when Google wants something, it gets it.
The company has shared with the press its plans of launching a virtual fashion boutique.
So what's Google unique spin on a tired format we've seen over and over again? Oh they plan to allow users to create and share their own boutiques for profit. Could this be a hit? Well possibly. I mean Google has a reputation that puts its projects right in the forefront of technology lovers with entrepreneurial spirits.
But it's clear that fashion's presence on the internet will only get bigger, let's just hope we can all benefit from the changes.
Fall Must Haves: The Season's Most Fabulous Accessories
In Fashion TrendsMonday, September 20, 2010
Fall is right around the corner, and with every new season comes new trends. Now ever true fashionista knows that trends don't necessarily necessitate what we do with our wardrobes, but they are great guides in continuing fabulous style. While there may be many accessories that could add a little sizzle to just about any outfit, here are some of my recommendations.
Gold Leaf Necklaces
What better way to show your love of fall than with a gold leaf necklace? Now gold jewelry is classic and will clearly never go out of style, so when selecting accessories, it doesn't hurt to pick up a few gold pieces. Gold leaf necklaces made a splash during New York Fashion Week Fall 2010 at the hands of fabulous fashion designer Jason Wu, so it's safe to say they would make a stylish addition to your fall wardrobe.
Here are a few of my favorites:
Animal Print
Expect animal print to be huge this fall season, with jewelry being essential to just about any accessory stash. Statement pieces such as chunky necklaces and earrings will be popular amongst fashionistas everywhere. Animal print handbags will make a fabulous addition to your bag collection as well.
Here are my picks:
Glamorous Cocktail Rings
Rings will never go out of style, but the type of ring you decide to wear could very well be the touch of glamour your outfit needs. Cocktail rings will never go out of style, as floral clustered rings will be popular amongst fashionistas this season.

Things I Love: Ethreal Wedding Dresses
In Fashion TrendsTuesday, September 14, 2010
When it comes to wedding fashion, trends will continue to come and go, and brides will have a diversity of styles to select from, while searching for the perfect wedding dress. In a new age of fashion, traditional is no longer essential in bridal gowns. Brides are forsaking white gowns for alternative shades such as blacks and reds; but that doesn't mean that traditional won't work for even the most daring of fashionistas. I'm not too big on traditional wedding dresses, but I must admit that ethreal wedding dresses are some of the most captivating dresses I've ever seen. For many reasons, this style of bridal gowns will continue to be among the most popular, since it combines fairy tale with classic style.
These dresses are usually a favorite for soon to be brides looking to create a romantic themed wedding, equipped with their Prince Charmings and lavish details.
To get the most out of this look, dramatic statement jewelry is essential. Chunky and jeweled necklaces work best with these types of gowns.
This style also remains perfect for outdoor weddings, as brides are able to resemble angelic beauties, with flow fitting pieces. Expect to pay a pretty penny for this style of dress, and don't be afraid to step outside of tradition when choosing colors.

Wedding Fashion: Who Said Bridesmaid Dresses Can't Be Stylish?
In Fashion TrendsIt's wedding season, and if you're anything like me, you'll have dozens of weddings to attend. While many will just be a stylish attendee, some of us have been given the one title we dread our whole single gal lives: bridesmaid. Now there was a point of time in fashion when bridesmaid dresses were obnoxious, painful to wear, and a blended massacre of hideous hues and designer faux pas, but in today's fashion, bridesmaids are only a few stitches away from being just as fabulous as brides. Of course that's good news for all you single gals who aren't willing to become victims to the fashion police for the sake of a wedding you'd skip all together if you weren't best gal pals with the bride.
Here's some of my favorite and most gorgeous bridesmaid dresses.
Here's some of my favorite and most gorgeous bridesmaid dresses.
Adrianna Papell Strapless Taffeta Peplum Dress
I just adore this bridesmaid dress because it just exudes classic style and elegance. However, this particular style is similar to cocktail dresses, and allows bridesmaid to not only participate in the actual wedding, but be stylish enough for the social festivities later, without compromising fabulousness. The beautiful shade of blue give this dress the overall perfect touch that any fashionista can appreciate.
Suzi Chin Maggy Boutique Pleated Dupioni Party Dress
Classic and simple, this pleated bridesmaid dress also affords the stylish bridesmaid the perfect combination of wedding elegance and party. Not too heavy on the trendy side, the pleated skirt dress is still noteworthy on the style meter, since it's stylish enough for a fashionable bridesmaid, but not too glamorous to overtake the bride.
Calvin Klein Pleated Bodice Stretch Satin Sheath Dress
By far, the sexiest of my collection of favorite bridesmaid dresses, this Calvin Klein guilty pleasure offers the seductive side of femininity in dress form. Flirty yet special occasion appropriate, it's another dress that's stylish enough to survive the after wedding events. The deep shade of purple is to die for, and it's one bridesmaid dress that you surely won't regret later.
Adrianna Papell Dress, One Shoulder Tulip Gown
Similar to the ultra diverse in style Maxi dress, this one shoulder gown is proof that long dresses can be just as stylish and chic as shorter length dresses. This gown is as close as wedding will get to runway, and should compliment just about any figure, which makes it one of the most diverse bridesmaid dresses I've seen this season.
When selecting bridesmaid dresses, always stick to gowns that are prone to compliment just about any figure type. It's also best to select dresses that are radiant in color, but compliment the bride's gown, without forsaking great style.
Things I Love: Koolaburra Venus Sandals
In Celebrities, In Rock This LookWednesday, September 8, 2010
Jessica Alba was recently spotted wearing these Koolaburra Venus Sandals. I really love these gypsy sandals because they have a way of making the most casual outfits glamorous in a matter of seconds. Ms. Alba must agree, because she paired her cute and comfy lightweight leather jacket and skinnies with a pair.
As fall rapidly approaches, take a page out of Alba's book of style and pair gypsy sandals with a comfy light jacket and hip hugging skinnies. This look is perfect for the fall, when mornings are cool and the evenings are blazing.
Lovin' these Koolaburra Venus Sandals like I am? Get them here.
Tiffany and Co. Introduces First Collection of Handbags
In Arm Candy, In CelebritiesThursday, August 26, 2010
Tiffany and Co. has dominated the Jewelry scene for ages (who doesn't have a weakness for that little blue box?), and now the legendary company is taking its shot at fashion. And what better way to the hearts of the stylishly obsessed? Well handbags of course. Tiffany and Co. has launched its first line of handbags, and by the look of the collection, the company is off to a fashionable start.
The collection contain 44 pieces, and was designed by Lamberston Truex. The bags will stay true to the legacy of the empire, as every bag is lined with blue satin or leather, similar to those blue boxes we all love.
The price range for these bags ranges from affordable to luxurious, with numbers ranging from $395-$16,000.
The Hollywood Elite can't seem to wait to get their wealthy hands on these bags, as Jennifer Anniston was recently spotted with a trendy sued bag from the company.
While I have given you a quick glimpse of the collection, the entire collection is available for your viewing pleasure at Tiffany.com.

Lady Gaga Covers the January 2010 Issue of 944 Magazine
The fabulous Lady Gaga covers the January 2010 issue of 944 Magazine.
The international pop star looks absolutely stuuning in a white lace dress designed by her very own Haus of Gaga design team. For those of you who don't know, Lady Gaga actually has her very own fashion design team. Her team of designers are able to capture Gaga's innovative concepts and turn them into some of the most bizzare, yet breat taking piece.
Here are a couple of quotes from the 944 Magazine interview from Editor in Chief Martine Bury:
"Lady Gaga has liberated music and fashion the way David Bowie and
other Brit Glam rockers did in the seventies--using costume, artifice
and drama while bending gender norms and conventions. But she also one
ups everyone with her phenomenal vocal talent and truly unique
aesthetic. Her music choices are far from predictable-- they're a
mash up of futuristic pop styles. What a breath of fresh air!
"For our Vanguard issue she was the only choice for the cover--the
most fitting artist of our time. She's way ahead of her time and the
only universal artist to truly break ground and provoke thought since
Madonna."
If you're a real fashion addict, you are watching Lady Gaga closely and appreciating her taste in fashion.
