Victoria Beckham Fashion|Victoria Beckham Debuts Second Dress Collection At Fashion Week|Victoria Beckham Fashion Line

Monday, February 16, 2009

Victoria Beckham presented her second dress collection during Fashion Week this past weekend. Now if you are a fashion addict like myself, you already know that her last dress collection received very harsh criticism due to speculation that legendary designer Roland Mouret may have actually had a little too much to do with its design process. The dresses from Victoria Beckham's first dress collection did bare striking similarities to the previous designs of Mouret, and regardless of that fact, Victoria Beckham's collection sold so ridiculously fast that one would have to assume the masses could care less who really owns the design credit.

I must admit, I simply fell in love with Victoria Beckham's first collection. Unlike most celebrity fashion lines, Victoria Beckham's pieces were very high fashion with a classic appeal that made the entire collection intriguing.

I only wonder if she or Mouret for that matter can hold on to the intensity that we fashion addicts can't seem to live without...

Here's a look at the new collection:

Impressive. This collection is a lot more bolder than the last collection due to her use of bolder colors, metallics, and shorter dress lengths. Her last collection was composed more so with the usual blacks, grays, pastels, but Victoria Beckham is paying attention to the runways as of late, and realized brighter and bolder colors are all the rage right now.

Unfortunately, this might just be label eye candy for most because these dresses cost about $900-$5,000. But of course there are some women who can afford the high price tag of these pieces. And I wouldn't be surprised if this collection becomes just as successful or more than the last collection from Victoria Beckham.

Pure fierceness.

Label Eye Candy|Sweetface Resort 2009 Collection|Sweetface Clothing Line

Thursday, January 29, 2009

Jennifer Lopez may primarily be known as an actress, but she is working really hard establishing herself as a fashion designer.

While I never purchased any pieces from her J. Lo clothing line, I can say I do like her upscale and high end pieces from her Sweetface clothing line.

Here's a glimpse of Jennifer Lopez's Resort 2009 collection from her highly praised Sweetface clothing line...

All black Wrap Tie Sweater. Chic and sophistication meet in this one piece.

Black Cropped Herringbone Sweater. Sassy due to its asymmetrical button at the side neckline.

Charcoal Belted Collar Coat. It has a stylish zip front closure and waist belt.

Evergreen Silk Dress with ruffle and tie. I love the ultra femininity of the ruffled sleeves and neckline.

I don't usually endorse or favor celebrity clothing lines. But I must admit, these clothes are pretty stylish and worth a glance or two. Stilettos off to Jennifer Lopez. Sweetface is rather sweet.

While these items are somewhat pricey, they are marked off at about 40% at revolveclothing.com. Interested in the Sweetface clothing line? Visit the Revolve Clothing website here.

Indulge a little.

Label Eye Candy | Katie Holmes' New Miu Miu Ad

Wednesday, January 14, 2009

After months of speculation that Katie Holmes would indeed be the new face for Miu Miu, the new Spring 2009 ad featuring the actress has finally been released...

Here's a peek:

Katie Holmes doesn't even look like herself in this Spring 2009 Miu Miu ad. She looks like a supermodel and I have to admit she is looking pretty fierce.

Very high fashion. I love it.

Label Eye Candy | Shoes | Gucci | Spring 09

Monday, January 5, 2009

Because we all need a little candy or something sweet in our lives from time to time...

This is a sneak peak of Gucci's Spring 2009 shoe collection. The use of buckles for this shoe is just sick.

Lust away...

Arm Candy | Marc Jacobs Handbags | Spring 2009 Collection

Tuesday, December 30, 2008

The very talented and innovative fashion designer Marc Jacobs usually doesn't disappoint when it comes to delivering the most stylish (and expensive) handbags. And if you are obsessed with handbags like I am, you would have to have a glimpse of what to expect from him in the spring. Here's a peek at the handbags from Marc Jacobs' Spring 2009 collection. Drool away.

Coin boxed purses will be a pretty big deal in the spring. They are great handbags for evening wear.

Mixed Media Bag from Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 collection. Interesting.

Mixed Media clutch handbag. Also interesting.

Yellow will be a major color in the spring, although it has already made a comeback in the fall.

A hot version of Marc Jacobs signature chain handbags. I really love this bag. Fab.

Sexy and chic tote from Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 collection.

We already know print dresses, skirts, tops, are one of the major trends right now, but print handbags will be pretty major in the spring, including animal prints.

So there is your glimpse of Marc Jacobs handbags from his highly anticipated Spring 2009 collection. I don't know a whole lot of people that will drop thousands on any of these bags considering the state of our economy, but everyone needs a little arm candy every now and then.

For The Fellas...

Just a little label eye candy...Hot.

Celebrity Fashion | They Had So Much Potential

Tuesday, December 16, 2008

Have you ever had a moment when you looked at someone's outfit and said:

"That would have been cute if..."

Well that is usually what happens when it comes to celebrity fashion. Let's face it, it's really tough for celebrities. Most rely on stylists to pick out their red carpet garments so often, that when they have to make their on fashion choices, they end up looking dreadful. Or worse, their stylist just has no clue what *style* is. But somehow because of those pesky connections, they ended up in the business. Happens all the time. Here are some of my picks for the "They Had So Much Potential" category...

I really don't understand what Scarlett Johansson was trying to do here. Someone should have told her that although both top and bottom are designs from Stella McCartney, it doesn't mean they should be worn together. This outfit looks mixed matched, and it looks more like a war between animal prints. Who's side are you on?

"That would have been cute if..."

Paris Hilton would have just left that damn fur vest at home. Eh, well how about if she just wore another dress altogether? It just looks, eh...cheap.

"That would have been cute if..."

Ashanti didn't look like the Nutcracker. That hat was the beginning and the end of this outfit. And I am confused about the big coat and tights combination here. What are you hiding under that coat Ashanti?

"That would have been cute if..."

Rapper Trina could have worn a dress that actually fits her. Why does she insist on doing this all the time?

"That would have been cute if..."

Nicole Kidman could have ironed, or hell, STEAM PRESSED this dress.

"And that would have been cute if..."

I had no sense of style what so ever and absolutely loved Michael Jackson's wardrobe during the "Thriller"era. Boo Brandy.

Arm Candy | Louis Vuitton Summit Drive Handbag

I have been obsessing over this bag shamelessly for quite some time now. This Louis Vuitton Summit Drive handbag has to be one of the most poshest bowling bags I have ever laid eyes on. It is stylish for a number of reasons:

First, the color of course. This shade of red will get you noticed. This color isn't for the fashion meek, this is a color you have to have the confidence to wear. Oh yes, you have to OWN this shade of red.

And if you don't love how the bold red patent leather is gorgeously embossed with Louis Vuitton's signature LV logo, maybe you will appreciate its adjustable buckles, or the large pockets on the front and back, or the double zip top that reveals its luxurious lining with a patch pocket adding to its tremendous functionality.

Priced for $1680.00, the Louis Vuitton Summit Drive Handbag is one of my favorite pieces of arm candy. Sure, right now I wouldn't drop that much cash on this bag, but it sure is sweet.

Arm Candy | Dooney and Bourke Handbags| Hayden Panettiere Dooney and Bourke Clutch

Friday, December 5, 2008

Hayden Panettiere has recently collaborated with Dooney and Bourke to design her own handbags. Now we have seen Lindsay Lohan and Mischa Barton as the faces behind some earlier handbags, but they were not nearly as stylish and fabulous as the Hayden Panettiere Dooney and Bourke Clutch handbags. In fact, they weren't anything chic or edgy. Hayden's bags, especially this clutch bag, are so fab I had to blog about them. I love these clutches! They do not resemble any of the earlier Dooney and Bourke handbags, and that probably can be credited to the fact that D&B's Italian Design Team designed this bag. It has an elegant 24K carat gold-plated lion's head that just makes this bag absolutely flawless. Here is a look at the Hayden clutch bag in the other colors:

*All photos courtesy of Dooney and Bourke*

Fabulous! I am eyeing that pink (fuschia) one extra hard. I am loving the bag's gold leather piping too! This bag is true arm candy indeed. This is one of the most stylish bags I have ever seen from Dooney and Bourke.

The bag is $295.00 and you can find it here.

Label Eye Candy | Diorette Jewelry by Christian Dior

Monday, December 1, 2008

This ad for the new Christian Dior "Diorette" line is simply stunning. I am a fashion ring addict, and I must concur that these rings are exsquisite and rightfully leave imprints on the hearts of women everywhere. The brillance that makes these rings more impressive than the others (besides their distinctive and animated design) is the fact that these rings are made with real gold, silver, and jewels. They are not your ordinary fashion rings. And these rings come with a pretty stunning cost as well. Here's a closer look at a couple of the Dior beauties.

This Diorette Yellow Gold flower ring is on of my favorites. It has one 0.02 carat brilliant-cut diamond. The 18k gold ring is selling on E-Luxury for a steep $1050.00.

This Diorette White Gold butterfly ring has one 0.04 carat brilliant-cut diamond. It is 18K white gold, and can be purchased on E-Luxury for $1150.00.

Here is my favorite out of the collection. It is a bundle of flowers and is 18K yellow gold. it has a 0.04 diamond, and a 0.95 carat amethyst. It is priced at $5550.00 on E-Luxury.

While I love the look of the Diorette rings, the prices are a little comical. Wouldn't you rather spend a grand or better yet 5 grand on diamonds? And not a little tiny and barely noticeable one surrounded by flowers, ladybugs, and butterflies? Yes, the rings are gorgeous, but the price tag does not match the value. But I guess if money isn't an issue, surely purchasing fashion rings with puny gems isn't an issue either.
