Things I Love: Koolaburra Venus Sandals

Wednesday, September 8, 2010

Jessica Alba was recently spotted wearing these Koolaburra Venus Sandals. I really love these gypsy sandals because they have a way of making the most casual outfits glamorous in a matter of seconds. Ms. Alba must agree, because she paired her cute and comfy lightweight leather jacket and skinnies with a pair.

As fall rapidly approaches, take a page out of Alba's book of style and pair gypsy sandals with a comfy light jacket and hip hugging skinnies. This look is perfect for the fall, when mornings are cool and the evenings are blazing.

Lovin' these Koolaburra Venus Sandals like I am? Get them here.

Fab Fashion Find: Alexander McQueen Cutout Patent Leather Belt

Friday, March 20, 2009

So one of my favorite fashion designers Alexander McQueen has done it again and taken a bold approach to accessory design.

When I first saw this Cutout Patent Leather belt, I absolutely fell in love. It is so edgy and high fashion that it screams McQueen all over it.

Belts can be the end all to an outfit, and in most cases, your boring outfit's savior. Take a closer look at Alexander McQueen's cutout patent leather belt.

We all know that 80s fashion is in right now, so this belt would be a perfect add to your belt stash if you are into 80's style fashion.

Tip: pair this belt with a bandage dress and it will be fabulous for evening wear.

Not sure what a bandage dress is? Bandage dresses are very tight form fitting dresses (hence the name Bandage) that fit so tight, they show off your figure perfectly. Fashion designer Herve Leger introduced this style of dresses, and it was a Hollywood craze late last year.

And you don't have to spend thousands on a Herve Leger bandage dress, you can get the same look from stores like Forever 21 and Wetseal for a lot less.

The Alexander McQueen Cutout Patent Leather belt is $825 at Net-A_Porter, but this look can be achieved with any leather corset belt. Check out some affordable ones here.

Fashion Trend:Fashionable Scarves|Rock This Look

Friday, February 27, 2009

Scarves have to be one fashion's best kept secret weapons when it comes to accessorizing. With the help of a fabulous scarf, it's super easy to add life and flair to any outfit, even if you've opted to simply wear a sleeveless white top as Rihanna has done in the photo above.

And I have always loved scarves for this simple fact. My scarf stash is on point, and all the fashion addicts know no woman can ever have enough of them. I have all kind of scarves, and I always get compliments when I wear them because of the instant chic they bring to just about any outfit. With the right scarf, you can make a dull outfit become stylish.

There are so many ways you can wear scarves. My personal favorite is to tie them around the neck, but they can also be worn around the waist, and tied around the head also to create the same effect that a headband would. All looks are extremely stylish and worth consideration.

As you can see, most of the stars opt to wear their scarves around their necks and complete the look with big shades. If you have confidence, this is a simple look that will get you noticed.

It won't put a hole in your pockets to rock this fashion trend. Wetseal has a great and affordable selection of scarves.

To rock Rihanna's look, try these:

Plaid pink scarf for $10.50

Big Plaid Fringe Scarf for $10.50

Gingham Tie Dye Scarf also for $10.50.

To rock Beyonce's look, try these:

Colorful Tie Dye Scarf for $7.50.

Corchet Trim Scarf for $14.50.

And to get Jessica Alba's look, try this:

Multi Knit Scarf for $12.50.

Rock This Look | Victoria Beckham

Saturday, November 29, 2008

Victoria Beckham was recently spotted looking very fabulous and chic after attending an All My Sons performance in NYC. I absolutely adore this outfit because it is sophisticated but still very trendy. Vickie has to be one of the most fashionable Hollywood mommies out there. She may very well be on her way to becoming a fashion icon. But unlike Mrs. Beckham, most of us don't have millions of dollars to spend. And um, yeah, it is a recession. So let us shop smart these days. In spite of what Hollywood may say, you don't have to spend millions or have millions to look like a million bucks. Here is how you can have this look without spending thousands of dollars (0r millions) in 7 little fabulous steps.

The Dress

1. Dress:Tahari by ASL Belted Dress

This dress is the perfect fit for those of who who prefer the sleeveless style. This stylish black and white birdseye tweed cap sleeve dress has a single button detail on the neckline that enforces its sophistication. A black patent leather belt and back zipper delivers and makes this dress chic and smart. This dress is currently on sale for $82.80 at Dillard's. Get it here.

2. Dress: Tahari by ASL Plaid Three-Quarter Sleeve Sheath Dress w/ belt

For those of you that want to keep the quarter sleeve dress look that Mrs. Beckham has, this is the best choice. This fabulous pick has a squared neckline with princess seams. The flattering empire waist makes the dress ultra feminine (it shows your cute little figure perfectly) and it is currently priced at $148.00 at Macy's. You can get it here.

The Shoes

3. "Josh" by Nine West

This Nine West 3 1/2 inch criss cross front pump gives a sexy and slightly edgy look that will compliment either dress flawlessly. It is priced at $79.00 and you will find it here.

The Bag

4. Apt. 9 Medallion Faux-Leather Satchel

I am sure you already know that you will need an adorable satchel to complete this look. This bag has a zipper closure and roomy interior which makes it usuable and very trendy addition to the outfit. It is on sale for $29.00 at Kohl's. Get it here.

The Accessories

5. Large Faux-Pearl Earrings

You will need classy accessories to wear this look. Pearls are the superior choice for this outfit. There is no need to overdo it in the accessories department with too over the top, big flashy earrings with such a sophisticated outfit. And you don't have to spend a whole lot of money on pearls to achieve this look. You can find these at Claire's for $8.50 here.

6. Faux Pearl Bow Bracelet

This simple but stylish bracelet is the perfect match for the studs. This Wetseal find is made up of 3 different strands in 3 different colors It is priced at $6.00. Find it here.

7. SW Oversized Celebrity Style #5072

You cannot complete this look or rock this look correctly without the oversized shades. They will add a little diva to the look. Sunglass Warehouse has a great selection and the prices are very affordable. This pair is priced at $14.95 and can be found here.

So there you are my little fashionistas. Who said shopping on a budget isn't fab?
