Glam A Sham?

I get a lot of interesting emails regarding the fashion media, but this one was too interesting to refuse to post.

I'm sure all you fashion heads out there have checked out Glam.com from time to time. There is a lot of fashion and beauty editorial on there, as well as a pretty major community of bloggers. Now me personally, I love fashion, but can't really get into the larger fashion blogger networks. The tone and style of the writing on these network sites isn't authentic or one on one as most one authored blogs seem to be. Check out the email for yourself:

Articles, blogs, pictures and videos make up the website that seems a hub of fashion and entertainment. Yet the idea for the initial website was implemented with an idea originated by Kimberly Stone, founder and CEO of POSHGLAM.com.
The similarity was no accident; in fact, Glam.com is a stolen business model. Though Glam.com founder Samir Arora launched Sep. 19th 2005, Stone had purchased the rights to POSHGLAM.com on May 16, 2005 far before Arora even owned the rights to GLAM.com.
This initial transfer of ideas was not the end for Glam.com. The site compiles insights and tidbits from other fashion insiders and websites, and then presents them as its own. These underhanded actions are exploitations of the fashion industry and its virtual realms, from blogs to bargain buys. Now, rather than a fashion Mecca, this website has been exposed a fashion fraud.

Glam.com, Don't Click on the Ads...or support the stolen idea!"

Wow. I don't know how true this is, but if Glam.com ripped off the concept, I don't think they should continue to receive support. I know how it feels to work really hard on an idea or project you developed on your own, and I can only imagine what it feels like for it to be stolen and to actually reap the benefits.

So They Say Jennifer Hudson Is Pregnant...

But her rep says it is 100% false. they even say J-Hud laughed when she heard the rumors. I know I personally ain't fallling for the preggers hype with this chick because every couple of months someone is saying she is pregnant and has a baby bump.

Anyway, her fiance David is really working on starting his pro wrestling career. I'm glad he's leaving those reality tv shows alone.

Chris Brown...

denies reports stating that he has gotten back together with ex-girlfriend Erica Jackson. Reports stated that Brown has rekindled his romance with a high school girlfriend weeks after his "split" with Rihanna. These sources also claim the singer was spotted with this woman at a tattoo parlor over the weekend.

Breezy's publicist says:

"He did go to a tattoo parlor with someone from the studio named Dean. There was a woman there who was a friend of Dean. There is no truth to this at all. Chris does not know the woman nor does he know the name of the woman.”

Can't say I care what this dude does anymore.

Kelly Rowland Says...

Nick Canon...

has offered to meet bloggers face to face so all the rumors of him being a broke a** can be put to rest.

He uploaded a video on YouTube and said the following:

"I take respect real seriously and when you cross what I feel like you're offending my personal space, I wanna (sic) give you the full opportunity to say whatever you need to say to my face directly.

So wherever you at, I'ma (sic) let you know when I'm in that area so you can come and tell me... Anybody else who got some reckless s**t to say on the Internet, I will give you my phone number. We can exchange. If you really feel that bad about it, if you really have those harsh personal feelings against me, lets deal with it."

I see he is still worried about people calling him broke, but if it were me, I would just laugh my way to the bank. I will never understand why some of these usually irrelevant celebs complain about a lack of privacy, don't you have millions of dollars in the bank while most people are suffering in the recession? Nick knows he has money, so why does he care so much? Stop crying and count your blessings.

Method Man...

blames his tax problems and vehicle repossession on his habit of smoking weed.

He says he isn't in any kind of financial trouble, but forgets to pay his bills because he is always high all the damn time.

He tells the New York Daily News:

"Myself, I'm a pothead. It’s no secret. Everyone knows that. I go on the road and forget everything else. Sure, (the tax department) sent letters to my house saying, 'We need this money.' They started sending them in 2002. Here it is, 2009, and I never paid this s**t, because I don’t think like that! I could have easily just written them a cheque for whatever amount, but no - I waited until they knocked on this door and were like, 'We got your truck and we outta here!'

Now I'm thinking we've gotta get our truck back, which means I have to get all my paperwork together. That means days of going through mail, ’cause I got mail like woah (a lot of letters). I've found checks from 2005 that have never been opened yet. And we're talking a significant amount of money! But I never opened (the tax department's) letters - so this is how the tax man came to Meth’s house and took his truck. Not because I was broke! I got plenty of money!"

If you say so Meth. If you got it, pay what you owe! Damn I miss the Boondocks.

Well apparently the tabloids have been blasting Beyonce for gaining weight after grabbing a hold of these photos from her video shoot for "Ego."

Like I previously posted, any idiot should have been able to tell that the girl had on some extreme padding, but I guess I was terribly mistaken.

Anywho, Beyonce got a little pissy about people jumping on her weight, so she had her spokesperson blast the tabloids.

Here's what her spokesperson said to US Magazine:

"This is not a weight-gain issue. Beyonce is in the best shape of her life. The exaggerated hips are a design element of a truly couture dress. Beyonce has always loved this dress."

The dress was designed by Thierry Mugler.

Mugler's spokesperson said the following concerning the dress:

"The padded hips intentionally focus attention to the waist."

People In Atlanta Are Saying...

that the reason Ciara hasn't really had any hits since her first album is because she ditched Jazzy Pha because she was such a big star and thought she no longer needed him. Little did Ciara know that Jazzy might have been her musical match, and Ciara is having a hard time coming up with tracks that move up in the charts since the split. I heard Jazzy's a little salty about the split too because he didn't expect it. The two have also been going back and forth to court because Jazzy is suing her.

In related news, Ciara and Keri Hilson are not beefing. They had a chat and are no longer at odds over Keri's "diss track" that really had nothing to do with Ciara in the first place, despite what the blogs speculated.

I hope it all works out for Ciara, but I will have to say that I am not impressed with what I am hearing so far. Oh, but those Goodies joints are still in heavy rotation on my I-Pod.

While The Blogs Keep Saying Nick Canon Is Broke...

he and wife Mariah Carey are in the process of buying a $125 million mansion in LA.

The mansion has marble walls,French limestone floors, gold-embossed leather wall coverings, gold-leaf crowned mouldings, a ballroom and a library with a first-edition book collection, two kitchens, a screening room with seating for 50, a three bedroom manager's house along with staff quarters for 10, a private jogging track and a garage that can accommodate around 9 cars.

And before you say Mariah has to be paying for this, you would have to be a fool to think that Mariah, being the prima donna she is, would allow any man to dig in her pockets. Not to mention, Nick Cannon just got a new gig as the honorary chairman and development consultant of TEENick.

Besides, Mariah Carey wouldn't marry someone who can't afford her luxurious life style. Trust me on that.
