Beyonce Does Vogue And Italian Vogue

Beyonce is everywhere these days, and now she has landed on the cover of Vogue...

The 27 year old superstar graces the cover of the April 2009 issue of Vogue.

In the issue, Beyonce talks singing for the Inauguration, being a role model, her superstar status, and those fabulous curves of hers.

On her influence on young girls:

“The amount of influence I have on these young girls is scary sometimes. But I also understand how lucky I am to have that.”

On loosing and gaining weight:

“It’s easy for me to gain weight. I’m not a naturally stick-thin girl. I’m not heavy but I'm not skinny either.”
On upcoming film projects:

"I've gotten three offers, but they are all filming while I'm away on tour. She lets out an ironic little laugh. I wish there really was a Sasha Fierce, because I'd send her on the road and I would go and do the movies."

I was feeling everything up until the Marilyn Monroe inspired photos. I am not loving that look on Bee at all. That shade of blond does not look good on Beyonce. Nonetheless, these are still great shots.

Michelle Obama Joins Oprah On 'O' Magazine April Cover

Two of my favorite divas have joined forces to cover the April 2009 issue of O magazine.

I simply love this cover and both ladies look fabulous.

First Lady Michelle Obama rocked it in her red cocktail dress and yellow sweater. The color combination is sick, but I do wish she had not worn the clear plastic belt. I have always hated clear plastic belts, shoes, and bags. It all just screams cheap to me. Nonetheless, she looks gorgeous.

And look at Lady O rocking one of the hottest colors of the spring, Rose Dust. The shade looks great on Oprah.

In the April issue of O, Michelle Obama talks to Oprah about adjusting to her new role and life in the White House.

The issue hits stands March 17.

Katie Holmes Does Glamour Magazine

Katie Holmes covers the April 2009 issue of Glamour magazine. This issue marks the 70th anniversary of the magazine, and Katie takes a break from filming her upcoming movie The Extra Man to talk about marriage, gossip, and motherhood.

On her marriage to Tom Cruise:

“As a woman, you make the transition from being singe to [being] a partner. I have a teammate.”

On motherhood:

“Becoming a mother has been the most amazing experience—in an instant you become strong. You have to be a little bit wiser; it’s the most important job you have in the world… We like to be together, so we use the house for our [business] meetings. [We] play Yahtzee, board games, Scrabble. We grill; have pool parties. We play ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and Suri is the Big Bad Wolf. [Tom] reads story books to Suri and we all laugh. When a good song comes on, he’ll break into dance. We’ll watch movies in bed—recently Madagascar and Cinderella, for Suri. We have a really good time.”

And on gossip:
“We were changing diapers. [Tom] said, ‘I don’t want you to get upset,’ And I said, ‘Well, I am upset.’ So we approached it together. The metallics of the dress work beautifully with Freida Pinto's dark and dramatic make-up and luscious soft curls. And I am loving the audacious statement jewelry, it's all perfect for the cover of Vogue.

Beyonce covers the March 2009 issue of Cosmpolitan UK magazine. She looks pretty fab as well...


In the issue, Beyonce talks about keeping fit and trying to maintain privacy in her life while being a superstar.

Here's what she said on her wedding to rapper Jay-Z:

"I've never been the girl who went to a wedding and thought, ‘Oooh, I want to get married.’ So I didn't want anything big and dramatic [for my wedding day] ... And I think that people can put way too much emphasis on the day. It’s just so temporary and it goes in a second ... I think it’s important for women to have their moment, whether it’s your prom or your birthday ... but to me, marriage is not about that moment. It’s about something way deeper."

On having kids:

"I do eventually want all of that (children) but I’ve seen the reality of having a kid through my nephew, Jules, and I know I’m not ready for it! Although, you know, if something happened ... People always say when it’s your kid it’s different."

On keeping her relationships private:

"There are certain things that are kind of obvious, and if you start talking, the questions will never stop. I think there’s more to life than sharing it with everyone ... At school, if I dated someone, I didn’t tell everyone. I feel like if everyone knows my stuff, it’ll take the beauty and pureness out of it."

Deshawn Snow Kicked Off Housewives of Atlanta for Being 'Too Human'

It has been confirmed that Deshawn Snow of the Housewives of Atlanta will not be returning to the hit show for the second season.

In a recent interview with Essence magazine, Deshawn dished the details of her split from the show:

"[One of the producers] called and said that I was "too human for a circus show" and that because the show did so well, they are about to pump up the drama and they didn't think that I would fit in. He gave me an example, saying that during the reunion when I found out what a few of the other ladies said about me, they were expecting me to say more, but I'm not the type to go "television" and start acting crazy because somebody's talking about me. I'm fine with the decision. It wasn't my decision. They let me go and there are no hard feelings. I am thankful for the opportunity.

I didn't see it coming. I was shocked because I just talked to them in December about the new season. It's not like they came to me and gave me an option by saying, "We're going to take a new direction and we want to know if you could be more like this." I was a little hurt, but I just look at it like I am what I am. [My personality] didn't seem to be a problem before, but I suppose the show took a different direction and they no longer see me as the right fit. If you look at all the other housewives, they are all different. I believe God moves people out of your way. It's about God having his hand upon you and doing things for you. I'm not judging my situation. I look at the show as just a shutter-glimpse of what God has in store for me. I enjoyed being on the show and hanging with the girls. At the end of the day, I was the same person throughout the show. I never changed. I was authentic and true to myself and I can't control what other people do."

I have to say that I think it is really tacky of Bravo to pull Deshawn of the show because she doesn't act crazy and ghetto enough. I think she actually gave the show some balance, it was refreshing to see one of the ladies have a little class and I did feel like she was really being herself on the show.

But Deshawn is still keeping busy, she is now going to be a monthly guest columnist for "The Streaming Faith Network", and she will be a celebrity guest host at Obama's Inauguration at the "Celebrating The Arrival of Change" event held at the US Chamber of Commerce.

Rumors are circulating around the blogophere that Usher's wife Tameka Foster will join the cast of Housewives of Atlanta. I'm not sure if this will happen, but I think it would be a smart move for Tameka. If she joins the cast, I have a feeling that viewers might actually discover that Tameka Foster really isn't that bad like most people have made her out to be. I actually heard she's really cool. Hell, to be frank with you, I heard she's not half the diva that Usher is. I'm just saying.

I am not feeling the last photo, but the rest of the shoot was fierce. Ciara looks absolutely beautiful and very high fashion in the photos. Am I the only one that thinks she should scrap the whole music thing and just walk the runways? She's fabulous.

Kanye West To Pose Nude?

Kanye West recently had an interview with Vibe magazine (he is on the cover of the issue), and expressed his new desire to pose nude:

"I definitely feel, like, in the next however many years, if I work out for two months, that I’ll pose naked. I [want to] break every rule and mentality of hip-hop, of black culture, of American culture.”

Kanye then goes on to say that posing naked would spark controversy, while if singer Bjork posed naked, she would get a pass:

“If she wanted to pose naked, you’d (public and media) be like, ‘Oh, that’s Bjork.’ But if I wanted to pose naked, people would draw all type of things into it.”

Kanye makes a very good point, but I think it's safe to say that anything Kanye does will be controversial because Kanye wouldn't have it any other way. I am not sure how the Hip Hop world would respond to Kanye posing nude but we all know he loves the attention...he can be such a diva. And yeah, I just love it.
