Louis Vuitton is not too happy with rapper TI's "Swing Your Rag" video. He is suing the rapper for using images of his upscale fashion label, and TI isn't the first artist to be taken to court by Louis Vuitton.
Recently female rapper Da Brat was sued for using a Louis Vuitton beach ball in one of her music videos. And Brittney Spears lost a chunk too for that infamous scene in her music video with the Louis Vuitton dashboard.
I am assuming that the fashion designer just does not want his label associated with certain artists or music genres. Honestly, it is his prerogative. And when it comes to rap music or hip hop, it usually gets negative hype from the media due to it's reputation of crude and violent lyrics. So it's no surprise that some companies don't want the association or mention on an album. But let's not forget that all rappers aren't created equal, so let's not be to quick to jump to conclusions.
But in the meantime, maybe TI should just refrain from swinging his Louis Vuitton rag, and just put that damn thing back in his pocket. Getting sued sucks.

Proves that some high-end fashion designers are becoming so overrated. Reminder; the the fallout between Jay-Z and Cristal.
December 24, 2008 at 7:22 PMOh yes, I do remember that little situation...The ironic thing to me however, is some of these high end fashion designers have lost their ability to be innovative like the newer and underrated designers. Labels and huge price tags can be tempting, but I choose to buy great fashion and not names just for this reason alone.
