Beyonce Pics|Beyonce Fashion|Beyonce At Unforgettable Evening

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

So Beyonce may have ditched the Grammys to lay low after the whole Etta James foolishness, but chick was back in full effect last night at the Unforgettable Evening at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. And Beyonce looked just fabulous...

Chick must have remembered she was a diva last night and looked absolutely stunning in a scoopneck short-sleeved black dress.

She wore a black beaded necklace in layers, and finished the look with black pumps.

And Beyonce performed "At Last" again at the event as well as her own hits "Crazy in Love" and "Single Ladies." I guess Beyonce is trying to send a little "unforgettable" message to Ms. Etta James.

The Unforgettable Evening raised funds for innovative cancer research. Beyonce's gal pal Gwyneth Paltrow was also recognized last night for her unwavering support for the cause.

Ummmmm...don't love the look. Actually, it's quite boring. But her makeup looks okay.

Aww stop hating @ 11:32

She looks great and very appropriate for the occasion. It was a BENEFIT, not a party.

@ 12:20p.m. Not hating, she's done better without showing all of her goodies. Yeah...she sang "Single Ladies" at this benefit too. Very appropriate.

Oh God, we have a Beyonce hater on this post. It's not that serious. There is nothing wrong with her singing "Single Ladies." The song was a hit. She had women of every shade singing the damn song. At least she made a song about women asking these dudes to commit to them instead of just trying to take advantage of them.

Why do you haters always try to make this woman out to be some monster or trashy individual? She's neither. Get a life and stop trying to find something to hate on.

Shut up @ 12:42

It's not that deep. "Singe Ladies" was crowned the Women's Anthem of 2008. Why would she not sing it? Idiot.

And yes you are clearly hating. That is why you tried to start your post off with that fake ass compliment on her make-up. You haters kill me.

She's not trashy. No one even said that. A comment was made that she looked boring as hell because it was a benefit. Basically, you don't have to look boring to look classy. She proved that at the Cadillac Records debut. She looks pretty here, but very blah. The funny things is, did she wear this to perform? Or did she get all Sasha Fiercy for this cancer benefit? I never thought about it before, but I guess she doesn't really have that many songs that WOULD be appropiate for such an event. Maybe "Listen." I like her for what she does and when I hear her in the club, I do get my groove on. I AM a gay man, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it! LOL!

My makeup comment was genuine. I am a makeup artist by trade. In fact, I have been doing makeup professionally for almost 11 years now. The last five years or so, I have done makeup exclusively for celeb clientele. It looks okay, but I can see things that most people wouldn't give a damn about. But I am a perfectionist.

Amanda - Not sure who your readers are (or if you like to contribute to the comments as anon), but these people are delusional. I liked the idea of the site because we could critique celebs fashion choices on a public forum. But your readers are too immature and instead throw out personal attacks at others who have a different view. Again, I liked the idea of the site, but I won't be coming back. You are officially on Sandra Rose status. Not your fault though...just your target market. It's sad because I dig your writing style. Oh well. Smooches sweetie!

@ 1:39

I can't really understand the comparison to Sandra Rose, but I am not even going to go there. I'm not one for negativity or the bashing of other bloggers.

And I don't have to post any comments, people post when they feel like they have something to say. If they don't, they won't.

It's unfortunate that you feel the way you do, the only reason I have the site is to do and write about what I love. I try to let my readers express themselves as much as possible, but you will find that on any blog when Beyonce is the subject, the outcome is usually intense. Her fans are very passionate and so are those that oppose her. I really have no control over that.

But at the end of the day, words are only words. So I can't understand why you would be bothered so much that you would stop coming to a site you actually like.

But that's your choice. I'm glad you came, and I appreciate the love. Best wishes to you in your career.

Okay, to the anon. man, there are crazy Beyonce fans on every blog who stalk sites to pick fights. It really wasn't that serious to say all of that. And what target audience are you referring to? I read this site everyday because I like Amanda and her blogging style, I don't care about Beyonce stans picking fights and posting as anon. posters causing drama. I can't understand why you even let it get to you that bad.

And how do you compare this site to Sandra Rose? Do you see the sidebar on your right? At least you see Amanda's face and she isn't sitting here hating on President Obama and other famous black folks all day for ad revenue. That comparison was WAYYY out of line.

Amanda keep doing your thing babygirl, I know you are working hard. I will continue to visit this blog every day and support you.

Somebody is too sensitive. Sounds like dude can dish it but can't take it. You made the comment about "Single Ladies" and it really sounded like you were going after Beyonce. So her stans got at you and now you are trying to go after the author and readers of this blog? Very mature. People fight, agree and disagree all the time. It's called a discussion.

I'm an avid reader and I am not delusional. Nor do I care about Beyonce like that, but I don't let comments get to me either. Very childish.

Honestly, I could have said a lot worse than what I posted. I just said you were a hater and an idiot, and you just confirmed in your last post.

Whoa-the problem with Sandra Rose is NOT her reader or target audience, the problem is SANDRA ROSE! That is one biter ass woman and I HATE that blog with a passion. These are 2 VERY different sites and AUTHORS.

LOL this is funny. This post is a couple days old, and it only took off because some dude started talking sideways about Bey. Folks should have stayed on the topic at hand, her outfit. Not whether or not she should have sang "single Ladies" or Sandra Rose's hating ass.
