Some of my favorite starlets recently attended the 2009 Oscar Nominee Luncheon. All of them chose more sophisticated looks considering the appropriateness of the occasion.

Taraji looked absolutely classic and elegant in this nude top and pencil skirt. I see she isn't going to play any more games on the red carpet. And she shouldn't, I mean chick is an Oscar nominee now. Fabulous. Sophisticated look for Taraji P. Henson. She is wearing Alberta Ferretti. Go Taraji.
Next up, Marisa Tomei...
Marisa Tomei also opted for the nude look, and she looks fabulous. She wore this Christian Dior dress with Louboutins. The classic look really works for her.
Penelope Cruz...
Penelope Cruz looked fabulous in nude and made a stylish choice in wearing a this YSL suit. While she couldn't have gotten away with this on the red carpet, the look is perfect for the 2009 Oscar Nominee Luncheon.
Kate Winslet...
Kate Winslet wore all black and looked absolutely stunning.She is wearing Helmut Lang. I expect nothing less from the fashionable Kate Winslet. This is one of my favorite looks from the 2009 Oscar Nominee Luncheon.
Amy Adams...
Amy Adams wore this turquoise RM by Roland Muret dress. While the color is absolutely flawless, the dress is not. I hate the cut of the dress. It's just too much going on for my liking. While it's not the worst look of the evening, it's definitely isn't one of the best.
Viola Davis...
Viola Davis seems to love bright hues, and I can see why. Bright colors look fabulous on her. She wore this bright red David Meister sheath dress. This is another one of my favorite looks from the 2009 Oscar Nominee Luncheon.
Last but definitely not least, Anne Hathaway...
*All Photos by Getty Images*I am too disappointed in Anne Hathaway for choosing this ensemble. She wore this ivory Chloe embroidered dress and I absolutely hate this look! She looks like an old lady and a very unfashionable one at that. I am officially giving Anne Hathaway the title of worst dressed at the 2009 Oscar Nominee Luncheon.
I hope she brings the fierceness at the Oscars.
