Gossip Fix:Chris Brown Rihanna Fight Update|Chris Brown Says He's Sorry|Lil' Wayne Getting Sued For No-Shows|Beyonce And Jay-Z Give Back

Monday, February 16, 2009

Good morning folks. I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, and I hope you enjoyed the holiday as well. It's Monday, so it's back to work. I know it sucks, but at least you can get your gossip fix while you wait to punch out for the day.

Let's get started, shall we?

The Chris Brown and Rihanna fight is still the talk of the blogosphere and tabloids. As I have already posted in earlier posts, there are a lot of ridiculous rumors regarding the cause of the altercation that took place between Chris Brown and Rihanna. So at this point, I would hope you are smart enough to stop repeating the whole herpes story, just for your own sake (it just makes you look stupid to repeat such foolishness).

Anyway, Chris Brown has finally released an official statement through his spokesperson over the weekend. He says he is sorry and extremely saddened by the situation. Well here's what he released exactly:

"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones, and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person.

Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong," Brown's statement continued. "While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say, except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds."

I'm pretty sure Chris Brown is referring to that dumb a** herpes story involving himself, Rihanna, Jay-Z, and Beyonce. And I also know he is talking about Media Take Out reporting on the "updates" he made on his "official" Facebook page. Just like I posted earlier, clearly there has to be thousand of people claiming to be Chris Brown on both Facebook and Myspace. I can't help but shake my head at the foolishness. Common sense is rare these days, isn't it?

Rihanna's father also spoke out over the weekend, and said he hopes Rihanna doesn't go back to Chris. He said he is truly surprised and shocked by the incident because they seemed so happy, and that he thought he knew Chris Brown, but obviously he didn't know him well enough.

I have to agree with Rihanna's father, she really should move on after all of this. Chris Brown can get all the counseling in the world, but he should have never put his hands on her to begin with. And I stand by that stans.

And speaking of stans, Chris Brown's fans are starting to get a bad rap from the media. Fans of the 19-year old singer seem to validating Chris' actions and blaming the entire situation on Rihanna.

If the fans continue to take it in this direction, Chris Brown will certainly lose the cross over appeal he has had for the last couple of years. He probably will anyway because the mainstream media is not forgiving any damn way, but it's very sickening to hear anyone make excuses for his behavior at this point.

Chris Brown has hired a crisis management PR team of professionals, so it's clear he knows he is in a lot of trouble and his career is in jeopardy. But after the weak statement he released over the weekend, I do really feel his career is doomed. Chris Brown needs real therapy and I hope he gets it.

Moving on...

Lil' Wayne is having more legal troubles...

He is being sued for not showing up for a number of concerts that he had agreed to do. Lil Wayne is being sued for 1.3 million dollars by a NY promoter for missing 3 shows. Apparently, Weezy received an advancement of $100,000 to do the shows.

I'm not sure why Lil' Wayne is not showing up to shows, but after the Katie Couric interview, I think he might need to join Chris Brown in getting some damn therapy. I'm just saying...

Jay-Z and Beyonce decided to do something different for Valentine's Day instead of shower each other with gifts...

instead they gave $50,000 worth of instruments to the Mesa Arts Academy. They also wrote a check of $10,000 to the academy as well. Jay-Z's best friends LeBron James and Sprite Green also joined in on the cause.

And Snoop Dog joins Janet Jackson in being labeless...

He has officially quit Interscope Records. No word yet on where he plans to go next.

Oh and a little rumor control...

There's a statement floating around the web that blogs are reporting that they shouldn't be. This statement is supposed to be one that Jay-Z himself made regarding the Chris Brown/Rihanna altercation. Here's the statement:

"Chris is a walking dead man," he said. "He messed with the wrong crew."

Jay-Z did not, I repeat, did NOT make this statement. A so called personal acquaintance (who is trying to get some quick fame) of Jay-Z made this statement. Please believe Jay-Z is smart enough to take care of Chris Brown without making the headlines. He won't be saying anything on record folks. But if you start to notice that Chris Brown finds it difficult to find top producers to work with after all of this, I don't think it would be that far of a stretch to say Jigga Man had a little something to do with that.

Have a great Monday!

That was really cute of Bey and Jay to give back on Valentine's day.

So now Cris wants to speak up? I'm really starting not to like him anymore.

The whole herpes thing is just a reason to blame everything on Rihanna. These sites are disgusting to me right now.

Even though Jay-Z didn't make that statement, I am pretty that is what he is really thinking. And I wouldn't blame him.
