Tyler Perry is a successful playwright, actor, film and television mogul and now he will add island owner to his list of achievements.
When Perry turns 40 this September, he will be buying his own island.
Tyler Perry states:
"I'm a loner by nature, so when I'm out there on these islands, I just feel like the only person in the world."
But Tyler Perry knows that time on an island doesn't equal a break from work. After renting an island for a week for a vacation, Tyler feels it's just the best way for him to get work done without the threat of interruption.
But you don't have to worry about him calling his island "Tyler Perry's Island":
"It won't be Tyler Perry's Island!I'm so sick of seeing Tyler Perry all over everywhere!"
Perry wants to choose a name for the island once he draws inspiration from its exotic scenery.
"It'll speak to me," he says. "I'll know what to call it once I'm there."
One things for sure, he has no plans of letting the paparazzi anywhere near it.
"There will be no paparazzi on my island!"

Damn. Tyler Perry and buying islands and I can barely pay my bills. I need to get it together. This is really motivation knowing this man was living in his car not too long ago.
