Jennifer Lopez might love fashion, but don't expect her to launch a fashion line for free. You have to pay her in diamonds if you want her to host the launch of your fashion line.
Lopez received thousands of dollars worth of jewelry for hosting a Hollywood fashion launch. She borrowed $50,000 worth of diamonds from billionaire Robert Mouawad, so she could bling all night while helping him host the launch of fashion designer Andrea Lieberman's latest line.
Apparently Gwen Steffani, Ellen Pompeo, and Leah Remini all borrowed jewelry as well, but each returned the pieces after the show.
While some sources are saying that Jennifer Lopez demanded to keep the jewelry for her "work," her spokesperson Benny Medina said J Lo negotiated a deal to keep all the jewelry in exchange for her "very important" presence.
So I guess in Jennifer Lopez's world, her presence outranks that of Swen Steffani, Ellen Pompeo, and Leah Remini who I feel might be more relevant at this point anyway. I mean what the hell has Jennifer Lopez been up to lately?
But Medina told the Page Six:
"There was no demand whatsoever. There was an offer. It was very clear.
She was the only celebrity whose name was on the invite. She would have done it for nothing. But this was how it was presented. It was quite a generous offer."
Sure Benny Medina. If that is the case and Jennifer Lopez would have done this without any kind of gift or pay off, why was she the only celebrity that felt the need to "negotiate" keeping jewelry that she was only supposed to borrow for one night?
You need more people Benny.
