was paid $1.4 million to perform at a private birthday party.
She made a surprise appearance at the 21st birthday party of British mobile phone mogul John Caudwell's daughter.
The party took place at Caudwell's mansion in England, and Leona Lewis sang a variety of songs, including a rendition of "Happy Birthday."
I must be in the wrong damn profession.

I am sorry, this makes absolutely no sense. A million dollars to sing at a birthday party? Ridiculous. It is sad we are in a recession, and people who make no real contribution to live are filthy rich for doing absolutely nothing. I need to become famous.

March 25, 2009 at 2:46 PMMicheal Jackson definitely...
Jeniffer Hudson maybe...
but Leona Lewis. I don't think mediocre eye candy is worth that much for a birthday performance.
