While fashion writers and the fashion elite continue to debate on whether or not it is the end of leggings, Lindsay Lohan's line of fashion edgy leggings can't seem to stay on the shelves. Lohan's 6126 tights come in 35 different styles and colors, and there are even tights that leopard print lovers would love. Did I mention that there is also a black zippered pair? Yes, seriously. She really did design leggings with zippers on them.
Lohan's 6126 leggings were inspired by fashion icon Marilyn Monroe, and do carry a steep price tag that one wouldn't think would be a favorite during such horrible economic times. The leggings are priced for $44-$132, with most of her leggings selling for $75. Her most popular pair, appropriately called (sarcasm) Mr. President (the black ones with the gray patches on them), are selling for $132. And if the price of the leggings hasn't managed to make you laugh and pull out that pair of tights you have already been wearing fabulously, don't forget to factor in the cost of maintenance. Yes, the leggings have to go to the cleaners because Lohan's publicist says they are made of "top quality" materials.
But if you have the money to spend (and you are continuously asking "what recession?"), and you think it is fashion forward to take your leggings to the cleaners, they can be purchased at Nordstrom, Henri Bendel, and Lisa Kline to name a few places.
*Mr. President tights, priced at $132*
I think I will pass on these Lindsay.
