Rapper Lil' Wayne is planning to release a rock album as the follow-up to his multi platinum album "The Carter III."
According to friend and fellow rapper Drake, Wayne was inspired by Kanye West's "808s and Heartbreaks."
Supposedly when joking in the studio Lil' Wayne said:
“I ain't rapping no more… I’m singing ... I'm about to get some dance moves. I gonna get Chris Brown to teach me some sh*t."
Interesting.
For some reason, I think this might actually work. I won't be surprised if Lil' Wayne pulls this off.
And in other Lil' Wayne news, 50 cent is still talking reckless about Lil' Wayne in response to a mixtape in which Lil' Wayne takes a shot at 50.
In a recent interview he had with Shade 45 he said:
Whatever it was that Wayne put out, ‘die ugly, it’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to.’ I don’t know if that was old or new material but ’cause he didn’t say nothing Imma take it like you meant for that record to be out there. When that hit the streets and you don’t hear him saying ‘that was old’ … Em don’t got time for you period. But I’ll mop the street with your a**.”
Ok 50, trust me when I say nobody is checking for you right now. Go back to the studio and try again because your last album wasn't so hot. And you know I'm right.

I guess nobody wants to rap anymore. This is probably going to suck.
