Etta James doesn't seem to be too happy with Beyonce right now. Apparently Etta James is mad as hell that Beyonce sung her legendary song "At Last" for President Obama and First Lady Michelle's first dance at the Inaugural Ball. According to close source, Etta James felt like Beyonce really crossed the line for singing her song, and Etta James felt she should have been asked to do the song herself.
Etta James has always been known to have a mouth on her, and she mouthed off at a recent concert in which she made some very catty remarks about Beyonce and President Obama.
Etta James told the crowd, “You know, YOUR President, the one with the big ears-he ain’t MY President–had that woman singing for him at his Inauguration. She’s going to get her ass whooped….Beyonce…I can’t stand Beyonce.”

The audio has been floating around the web for a while now, and I didn't want to post this foolishness until I had a confirmation that this was indeed Etta James speaking reckless about Beyonce and Obama in the audio clip. Media sources from the Seattle Times have confirmed that it is Etta James in the audio, and they were there to witness the incident.
I feel kind of bad for Beyonce, but I can understand why Etta James felt disrespected. I mean it is her song, and no one even thought to ask Etta James if she would like to sing it. My only beef with Etta James is those dumb remarks she made about our president. She doesn't have to praise Beyonce, I understand the friction. But rather you are on drugs or not Etta James, if you reside in this country than Obama is your president too. Get over it!
Etta James should have been like Jennifer Holiday (like she did with Jennifer Hudson) and been more involved in the project and let Beyonce know her feelings. Beyonce can't read minds Etta James.
Either way it goes, Etta James could have been more classy about the situation. She's way too old to be acting like this. Etta James should have contacted Beyonce and her people and put some legal limits into place. There is no reason to publicly bash Beyonce.
I'm not expecting any comment from Beyonce regarding this spectacle, but I think it would be really interesting if Solange opens her big mouth now like she did about Janet Jackson. I'm waiting Solange.
