First Lady Fashion|Michelle Obama At The First Black-Tie Dinner For National Governors Association

Tuesday, February 24, 2009

Can you say...fabulous?

So while all of us fashion critics were drooling over the red carpet at the 2009 Oscars, it appears as if the 44th with his swagulous behind and First Diva Michelle Obama strutted down the red carpet themselves-fashionably.

Check out the fierce First Couple...

Yes!

Michelle Obama wore this oh-so-lovely glittery silver gown designed by Peter Soronen. Peter Soronen is a Chicago based fashion designer who made his debut at New York Fashion Week for Fall 2007. He's an up and coming fashion designer, and it is so Michelle Obama to once again select a designer who is on the come up.

I'm loving this dress...

My only complaint for the First Lady would have to be her overuse of pearls. While it is super stylish to wear more than one strand (thank you CoCo Chanel!), if you tend to wear that many strands, it's best to wear them in layers (at various lengths). But other than that, I think she looks exquisite.

I could use a glass myself, Mr. President.

And here's Michelle Obama at the dinner preview that took place prior to the dinner that evening talking to culinary students...

Cute look.

Fierceness at its best. I simply love our First Lady.

Yeah she overdid it with pearls, but the dress is really pretty. I kind of wish she would have worn it to the Inaugural ball.
