Singer Rihanna may have had a lot of fans and critics highly anticipating her Inauguration performance, but it seems like she didn't live up to the expectations.
Rihanna's Inauguration performance was set to help the "Feed America" fund, and her performance has been getting slammed by the mainstream media for accusations of apparent lip syncing and awkward dance moves.
A Washington Post blogger claims that Rihanna, her back up dancers, and band fumbled their way through the entire performance of "Disturbia."
The awkward performance was followed by a five minute break and an equally disappointing performance of "Rehab"and half a cover of "Paper Planes" by MIA.
Apparently, she then left the stage without returning and the DJ of the evening told the audience that they were experiencing technical difficulties.
While it isn't clear on why Rihanna had such a wretched performance, I do have to wag my finger at Rihanna for screwing up her Inauguration performance. Out of all the performances to screw up, this just wasn't the one.

I'm not surprised at all, Rihanna isn't talented. She got where she is because of her looks.

January 23, 2009 at 3:31 PMi was there. the club had all sorts of generators going to heat up the red carpet tent and as a result the power kept going out. this interrupted rihanna's performance a few times. it was the club;s fault entirely. the dj who was there was painfully awful. embarrassing. he flushed everyone out of the crowd with a bevy of amateur antics.

Yeah I have seen her live and she is very boring. Chick can't sing and can't dance. This is the real problem.
